Back End Developer

Lloyds Banking Group, Group Technology Retail Transformation - Consumer Servicing Digital Devices
Location: London based with hybrid working – 2 day per week in the office, the rest from home.
Salary & Benefits: £61,176 to £76,470 base salary, plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution (when you put in 6%), 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Consumer Servicing Value Stream for a Back End Engineer. Collaborating with Backend, Frontend and DevOps Engineers to build features and experiments, fostering the test and learn approach you will be accountable for ensuring all decisions are made within a sound risk framework and within Group standards and appetite while managing the full SDLC across and agile environment.
About you:
Confident, highly motivated and with a passion for working with people, working in a strong collaborative way to drive efforts to create, build, support and improve our backend software. You will also enjoy working closely with the product and engineering teams with lots of exciting new challenges. You'll be a core contributor to ensure good quality and engineering practices are followed in accordance with engineering transformation strategy.
What we need from you:
  • Strong experience in Spring, Spring IOC/DI
  • Experience of building Microservices
  • Strong understanding of Rest Services
  • Understanding of Core java
  • Exposure to at least one of Liberty, Tomcat, Jetty Containers & OCP
  • Experience with public cloud infrastructure
If would be great if you had…
  • Exposure to Web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery, JSON
  • Hibernate ORM experience
  • Exposure to Maven
  • Exposure to open source technologies and frameworks
  • experience with Python and Big Data technologies including ML
